Our Young Savages practices are all about helping young wrestlers get comfortable on the mat, learn basic movements, and start building discipline through informative and structured sessions. These practices are designed for elementary and kindergarten-age kids who are new to the sport and just getting used to the feel of wrestling.
In every practice, we focus on teaching respect, listening skills, and how to follow directions — all while moving, tumbling, and learning simple wrestling positions. Kids will start to understand the environment of a wrestling room: how to warm up, how to stay focused, and how to push themselves
We want these young athletes to feel like part of the team early on, giving them a strong foundation in both mindset and movement that will carry with them as they grow in the sport. Starting them young helps build confidence, body awareness, and a love for wrestling that can stick with them for life.
